blue-ribbon winning herdsires, and provide our
customers with ongoing support. We make it EASY

as package pricing designed to save you money.
We also offer several educational opportunities
each year, with something for both new and

microchipped. We also use gentle and

Breeding Philosophy
Our philosophy in breeding
is that you have to start with the best to get the best
cria (baby alpacas). We believe that the quality of the
dam is an integral part of a successful breeding
program. After all, they are going to contribute 50%
of the genes to their cria. Our foundation herd consists of
animals that were born in the USA with bloodlines from
Peru, Chile, and Bolivia. We gathered outstanding
alpacas from across the country to build a herd with proven pedigrees and awesome
genetics. We are continually matching dams and herdsires
to improve fleece, and perfect conformation. We breed
for the best animal, with country of origin being only
one of the considerations. We love color! Our alpacas
come in a variety of colors, though our breeding program
mostly focuses on fawn and grey. We are committed to producing the
highest quality North American colored alpacas and
improving colored alpaca fleece with every generation.
Within the past two years we re-invested heavily in our alpaca business,
adding 4 truly exceptional females (including the 2005
Fawn Futurity Champion!) and two outstanding jr,
herdsires, Xanadu P. Caruso and AOBA Champion SCA Peruvian
Shawnee,
to take our breeding program to the highest level. The
recent addition of SCA Peruvian Magnum is a long time
dream come true. His genetics are some of the best to
be found in the world. Check out his listing on our
herdsire page. You won't be disappointed! See our Foundation Herd on the Sales List page
to view some of our new dams.
Experience
With eight years experience raising and breeding
alpacas, we have learned a lot about these adorable
creatures! We are available to our customers at all
times to answer their questions and mentor them as
they begin their alpaca business. To share
information, we offer seminars and clinics on a
variety of alpaca topics. This April 26, 2008 we
will host the introductory seminar "Alpacas
101: Everything You Need to Know Before Buying
Alpacas". Last January we
hosted the Alpaca Breeders Fiber
School Course, "Fiber Production and Smart
Skirting for Great Rewards" a fiber course
designed for the beginning to intermediate alpaca
breeder and those who wish to improve their skirting
skills and breed for better fiber. This class was be
taught by Diana Timmerman, AOBA Judge and 2006 Small
Breeder of the Year.
Steve has used his
experience with computer aided design to create a farm
layout that works well for both alpacas and the people
who care for them. Our state-of-the-art facility and
fencing is set up for effortless herd management.
Consulting with customers on their farm set-up is one of
the many services that we provide. We also offer breeding services for your females. Whatever it
is that you need as you start your alpaca business, we
are here to help make it easy for you!
About Us
We have been breeding
alpacas for eight years. Prior to our "alpaca
lifestyle" our family used to live in
bustling South Florida. Steve worked in the computer
industry and Katy achieved her doctoral degree in
clinical psychology. We relocated to the
slower paced Fairhope, Alabama in 2000. Now we both work from
home and have plenty of time to spend with our four
children. Steve is an artist who specializes in bronze
sculpture. Katy enjoys being a mom and
manager of the alpacas. Alpacas have proven to be
very rewarding, both personally and financially for our
family. To read more

business click

in Camelid Quarterly.
The Town of
Fairhope
This picturesque little
town, located on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay, is
easy to fall in love with. Shopping, golfing, fishing,
boating, yachting, and polo are just a few of the
activities available to visitors to our area. Sugary
Gulf beaches are about 45 minutes away, and we are
within an hour of both the Mobile and Pensacola
airports. We invite you to come visit our farm in person
and experience the charm of Fairhope and the alpacas!
The alpaca lifestyle has made many of our dreams come true. Let us share the wonder of alpacas with you.
