Thoughts on Fairhope Alpacas’ “Alpacas 101”

“Alpacas 101” was better and more informative than I thought it would be. I did not expect it to be as in-depth as it was. I liked seeing the animals, learning about them, and hearing about the different aspects of alpaca farming. I would recommend it!  - Dean Morgan, FL

At first I thought of the alpacas as just another adventure of my Dad’s. After having attended Alpacas 101, I have a greater appreciation for the alpaca industry as a whole.

Before I attended “Alpacas 101” I did not have a clear picture of what the marketability could possibly be with the alpacas. It seemed like any other type of farming to me. Meeting the alpacas, you can’t help but fall in love. After seeing the layout of Fairhope Alpacas, and understanding the nature of the alpaca and the work involved, I realized how unique the alpaca experience is.
